Avon Lake -- Voters in Avon, Avon Lake and North Ridgeville made their voices heard on a number of statewide, county and local candidates, levies and issues in the 2026 midterm election. And while statewide races stole the headlines, two issues in Avon Lake brought passion and surprises with the proposed income tax increase and a charter amendment. And both results leave city leaders disappointed.
